If you are young and in good shape your most productive trapline in the north will be a trapline with a high beaver quota. You get a good beaver line then you will have a line that produces a ton of other good fur.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Wisconsin can meet every test you can come up with. Stay there. Scout more properties to trap. It’s all there if you look for it.
Never too old to learn

Looking for an adventure or to make money?
To make money = head south. But first learn how to catch beaver in numbers from steamy, southern swamps.
You'll make more off the service charge than the pelts. But the current pelt value will pay the bills.

Really never thought about the lower 48. I always wondered about northern Canada or Alaska. I agree. Looking to explore Alaska next year.

Forget about trapping bob cats in Nevada unless you plan to move there. Not open to non residents.

I’ve never had the urge to leave MN and trap somewhere else. I can put up decent numbers of just about most critters, lots of mink, rats, beaver and boat loads of coon. With coyote and red fox mixed in
