Nothing that fancy. Had a plain yellow Schwinn Stingray with a squared-edged rear tire. That rascal was a single speed and not real easy to pedal....but built like a tank.

Had that and the infamous sissy bar.

But never a new bike , but had a heck of collection of parts.

Not me, had an old Schwinn Tornado that weighed about 100 pounds. Buddy of mine had one about like that in the small town
we grew up in back in the 60's. He used to vex an old boy named Obert Urlrich who owned a Rocket gas station by racing past
the front of the station. One day as he was flying by, ol' Obert stepped out the door and ran a crowbar through the front wheel
spokes and put him out of business.

I used to ride a low-end Huffy. Probably told my no money having parents that "I found it in the river."
No banana seat, no ape hangers, no springer.
I am going to be 66 next week. If I found one of those sweet bikes today, I'd buy it and ride it all around my neighborhood until the men in white smocks from the mental hospital showed up.

i bent that shifter to the right so i could speed shift with my knee while racing!
