Thoughts on the okuma fin chaser ? Seems like a good mix of most things I like in a rod. Will never understand why split grips and a longer handle arnt more popular. You go to throwing larger heavier baits you'll appreciate that longer handle. You can two hand your cast. Same with catching larger fish. Pulling in a larger fish, stick the butt of the rod in your gut and two hand the reel area. Nice turquoise color.

I have a pair of okuma cat fish rods with the bait feeder lever
they work they are a little more flexible than I would like tossing 3-6 ounce weights

I carry Okuma rods for clients to use and they work super. St. Croix provides my upper end rods and I don’t hand them over much anymore. Okuma rods are tough and also good looking, clients are very happy using them.

Pretty much all we run for salmon and steelhead here in Wa state. Good price for good quality, was turned on by a guide in hells canyon 12 years ago.
