Taking Sal out of catholic school as the teachings and bullying have turned him from Gods word. He had been being bullied but didnt tell me until it went too far and they smacked him in his face and glasses with basketball and the principle had known he was being bullied. Dad took care of the situation and cops were called who stood by and listened to what i told the church clergy without intervening. This woke world has gone way too far seriously considering home schooling.

Sorry to hear that. I have friends who have home schooled, and their children are well rounded adults.

I know many also who do. Well educated kids and Sal has always been several yrs ahead and the kids resent him for it. Also i believe its racial because Sal is half asian and it shows. I always felt that kids need kids company but i guess not .

Sal can still get interaction with other children. My friends have field trips with other families. I did a trapping "class" for 8 children.

When I was a kid in grade school I was being bullied. I was scared of the kid. Finally had enough and hit him. Then kept hitting him. Grabbed him when he tried to run away and hit him some more. It was recess and teachers grabbed me. I got 3 days suspension and he got nothing.

Taught me a lesson. To this day I believe bullies are born that way. Cowards at heart. World is full of them.

Sal will probably learn more home schooled that in a formal education setting.

Find a good homeschool association in your area. The one at our church was excellent. They had classes two days a week you could sign up for if you needed it. Most were taught by retired teachers or college professors. Field trips if you wanted to go.

Thanks guys... He will finish the last 3 weeks there as is a lesson .. finish what we start i think many of us were bullied and i proved to be the one bullies didnt want. But i teach Sal no violence only, as a last resort. He stood and watched me hammer the school officials and commented going to the bus that they didnt bother him a bit after dad intervened. Hope it last the last three weeks

There are home school groups where kids get together once or more a week, someone gives lessons, kids get to play, etc.

I'd be surprised if the bullies backed off because "Dad intervened". That usually makes things worse for the kid. I'd tell Sal that if the bullies bother him physically these last three weeks to pop 'em in the nose.

Probably most of us have dealt with something similar when we were young. One of life's tough lessons. It sounds like you took care of the problem, especially if you talked to the other kid's parents too. If they are decent humans they will hand out some punishment on that end. I'd keep a close eye on the situation, but you probably solved the problem.

Thats a bad decision. The bullies stopped at the moment because of my heated talks with officials who took a very pro active part after the fact.
I was very noted for popping kids , nowdays its a very bad thing to do

Home school kids are weird…..

My son does online school. Commomwealth charter acadamy. Still has teachers, tests and work to do. Its all online. He is 12 and does 95% of it himself and is doing good. You can work ahead, like this week. Leaving for a weekend trip in an hour or so. Some classes you have to watch as they happen others he can watch anyime. If there is something he doesnt understand the teacher will work directly with the kid so they learn it. THere are a bunch of field trips every month you and him can sign up for. You pick which ones you want. Only thing is there isnt much writing so I make him do that. But maybe thats the way it is in regular school now.

My mother mad the mistake of sending me to Cathloic School ,all I did was fight and cause disruption so they called in my mother to take me out . I did not like that School.

The opposite is true. Home school kids actually talk to adults normally. We home schooled our boys and the difference was astounding. Reading levels went through the roof and learning became fun. In public school with bus ride they had 9 hours a day then 3 hours home work every night. Home school day was 3 hours total. Public school has become poison to the mind. Are boys had October November and December off. What I would have given to have the fall free to trap hunt in total freedom. Government schools have become poison to families and America and if you can’t see that , well I’ll keep it civil.
