This... Pretty interesting reads if you Google a few articles.

Anytime Im cooking and have to use almond instead of reg milk it doesn't work. My biscuits were smooth and flat last weekend.

You can make your own if want to eliminate artificial ingredients. Likely not as cheap as the store, but you know what's in it and flavored to your liking.

Prefer whole milk myself

That's my mixed feelings on almond production. Yes, it supports US beekeepers but any honest evaluation says none of it is sustainable.

I don't mind it and drink it some due to it's low calorie content. I think it tastes very similar to Skim Milk, but not close to Whole Milk.

Just so some of you know , almond milk isn't some new trend to keep the vegans happy. It's been around for centuries.

Our oldest granddaughter (17) has a strong allergic reaction to proteins in dairy. Most grow out of this as infants. She has not so yes she drinks Silk and watches all her food carefully. She has had a couple serious events but has done very well. She carries a tube or two with her incase there is some dairy hidden in foods.

My granddaughter can't drink or eat dairy products. She switches between Almond and Oat milk. There is a protein in dairy that her body cannot handle/tolerate. I feel so sorry for her that she can't enjoy ice cream or cheese pizza.

That is weird... what kind of half and half do you buy with no carbs? Most half and half has 8 grams of carbs per 240ml compared to whole milk's 12 grams of carbs per 240/ml.

We don't use enough milk to justify buying it. We use almond milk, 80 calorie silk milk it's called. Half gallon lasts six weeks in the fridge. If we are making biscuits we buy buttermilk.

I would try a glass of almond milk if Randy would grow his hair out and put it in a man bun.

Dan,

I'll see what I can do but don't hold your breath.

Bob Jameson,

The carton I have says almonds and filtered water are the ingredients.
