Just saw that the McMullin auction for a #15 ATC trap ended with a price of $3,350. plus 10% buyers premium!!! I know that prices are going upwards but this is crazy! What gives? Is it antis bidding the traps up just to keep them out of circulation?

I got busy and forgot to watch the results. Do happen to know what the 4 1/2 wolf, the US stamped #3 or the hand forged bear traps went for?

There was a Duke bear trap on the sale to.

I think the Duke went for around $350. Didn't see a #4 1/2 in the auction. There was a #4 Newhouse, went for $50. and a #3 U.S. Newhouse went for $180. I can't believe the $3,700. price on the #15 is legit. Something more to the story for sure!

I’ve sold some things on that auction and have been really happy with the results.

I see they have another one going now with a few more Newhouse traps

The duke sold for $450, the 4.5 wolf sold for 910. The 4.5 was in tough shape.

The Number 15 was a legit deal, I know the auctioneer well and I know where the trap went. 190 bucks for the #3 Newhouse is crazy even if it has government stampings.

People are crazy, all you have to do is look at what the silver coins on that sale went for to see that.
