Let's suppose a person acquired a large supply of rail road plates. How would you utilize them on the trap line?

Theoreticaly,of course. They seem to be commonly found on wires leading into deep water, often several to a wire. Keith

Go see the section foreman and tell him you will buy him and the boys a case of beer if they deliver some to the crossing. Theoretically of course. Cracked or broken angle bars are good for lots of things on the trapline also.So are cropped pieces of rail. Anybody that works on the railroad can get you that stuff. The railyards used to sell stuff like that real cheap to anyone from their scrap piles.Used ties would go for a dollar a piece.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

well if you purchased them from the scrapper who purchased the load of scrap iron , then you can be less theoretical about all this
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

CTRAPS, park the truck and go for a walk on a set of tracks you plan on trapping...they are there. Bring some wire and rig two or more together...great drowning weighs. I'll do that. I've found some, but it's been a couple of years since that happened. Thank you.

We backed up to a pile of tie plates and loaded them up. Next day the sheriff was at the house and we took them back.

Let's suppose a person acquired a large supply of rail road plates. How would you utilize them on the trap line? if there is a name in the casting, they are still under the railways ownership and 99% have that name cast in them
