I live at 4,700 feet but most of my trapping is done at about 5,100 feet in high desert country. Some heavy Snow falls usually starts coming the third week in November but sometimes earlier and occasionally later. When does snow usually come to your Trapline?

I have ran lines at sea level and lines to timber line.
Here in KS I have seen it snow on Halloween and also stay fairly warm till January. Seen it cold in NOV and warm up in Dec. We get 100 plus degrees every summer and below 0 every winter. Usually only bad cold or hot a couple weeks then get a little break for a few days. Rain and freezing rain are common during trapping season. When its 35 and raining being outdoors is miserable.

140' + or -
Have seen snow about 3 times in my 60 years that actually accumulated on the ground and inch or so.

Only 1 day checking traps in snow.....did have a coyote and coon that morning....pretty cool.

Couldn't find several of my sets...lol.

2000 to 6000 feet. Water trapping between 2 and 3 thousand most everything else above 4000. We can have several feet of snow to know snow, -25 to plus 60 for temps.
