We went in and got the ablation. First and for most for those who said a little prayer or reached out I appreciate it, and your thoughts mean everything to our family. You can never have too many praying for you. Anyways we showed up got an echo done to make sure everything worked the way it should before they went in
The procedure was scheduled at 11, and sitting and waiting from 8 to 11 in the prep room was the longest wait, and nerves got to kenni and longer the we wait the more scared and upset she was, so holding it together was rough. Dad never lost it but was close a few times.. mom held it together very well to my surprise. They came and got her to take her back, and mom lost it in the hall at the door. As she looked up there was a golden retriever rubbing against her legs like a cat would.. I will tell you st.louis isn't worth much, but the children's hospital is amazing! As momma composed herself, I held her and said a little prayer.
What was supposed to be a 2 to 4 hour Surgery, was only one. We met with the doctor and the doctor told us everything went the way it should and everything was best case scenario and kenni did great. He did tell us she did have svt during the procedure (high heat rate) it was at 250 beats per minute. He said it was a good thing she had this done because he rated her in the medium to high risk as going into cardiac arrest as some point in time. But should be fixed they got it and only gave it a 2-5 percent to come back.
As we were seeing the doctor they took kenni to recovery and long story short she was suppose to have 4 hours of laying flat in recovery with out moving, and she slept those 4 hours which is good but they problem was she wasn't coming out of from under the gas.. so they started pushing meds, got her to come too but then her heart rate started to bounce high low high again. Well since we are about 3 hours away the Dr. Came in, and said he wanted to admit her but reassured we are just treating the symptoms of going under and not anything to do with the procedure. Said it was very normal for first time. His words i dont want to set you up.for failure for being so far away it would be best. Only one could stay with at the time because she was going have to have a room mate so I came home momma stayed. I brought bub and grand parents home as well.. so I didn't get much sleep but she woke up and was feeling 10x better and we are home taking it easy now..
