I was picked recently and all excited…called the Friday before and the message said it was canceled and thanks for your willingness to serve.

I get picked every few years but this year got picked for federal. On call for a whole year and not looking forward to it at all.

The system is tainted beyond repair. The highest court in the land can be ignored but I have to answer a summons from a district court. We are a joke.

Last time I got called I explained I was an over the road driver and was excused. Told me to notify them when that changed but I keep forgetting

Oh I plan on serving. I won’t honestly be able to ignore the current face of our judicial system or the fact lady justice is no longer blind. It will be a good month to be a defendant.

I was just selected to jury duty for the first time in my life and I'm 67. Kind of looking forward to it but the two week stint seems long to me. Might be interesting since my wife was a paralegal for her entire career.

I have served five times over the years. Hopefully never again.

My son got called a month ago for jury, he didn't get picked. Judge said they figured on a week for the trail, it took three days to find the child molester guilty.

I've been called three or four times but only had to go in twice but have never set on a jury.

I've served on four juries. All good criminal cases. Very informative as to how the system works and doesn't work. I look at it this way. First, it's my obligation as a citizen. Second, I go into it with the attitude of what if I was the defendant.

Wife and kids get called.

Ive heard if you make it to the jury selection process to stare the lawyer in the eye. They dont like confidence. You'll be dismissed :-)

My sentiment exactly. I was lead juror, we sent a guy to prison for 10 years, I wish the girl had a gun when he committed his 8 felonies. He really deserved a few bullets

I have been on several juries. (Small pool in Nome. Lots of them are related to each other so more jury time for those who aren't. ) Always found it interesting.

Twice at County and once Federal. County could learn something from the Federal system !
