It would be good for you to start working with someone in a hands on trade. You will take that learned skill with you throughout your life and it will pay off a hundred times over

I grew up laying brick with my dad. My buddies that are electricians, HVAC technicians, and welders have all done very well for themselves.

Find someone you know that works in a trade and work for them on the side. That knowledge is priceless

Gotta live up to the nickname...

yes, go to local farmer. i make about $140 a week from their it is a dairy farm, i am 13 so pretty good money. If you have grandparents ask for some work they will give u some, if u live in the city/town start cutting grass and make money. Teens looking for work these days are rare. i dont like my job because its repeating the same thing everyday. i am 13 so a teen helping another teen is good advice id say...

Cut grass, shovel snow, yard work, painting, gutter cleaning, rototilling, any odd jobs. Old guys like me are looking for people to help out and are willing to pay but can't find anyone willing. Old guys usually have the equipment onsite. Try putting up ads on grocery store bulletin boards. After one or two customers word will get around and soon you will have more work than time to do it. You may even run into someone that used to trap and will trade supplies for labor.

Newspaper route,,,,,,,, That was a "stud" job on Sundays and Wednesday,,,,,,,,I had 111 to 132 customers.
Teaches time management, collections, customer service, bike repair and the harder you work,,,,the more money ya can make.

Subbed for delivery boy in the third grade
Got my first route at a age 11

Probably not the best job anymore ,,,,,But thank for the memory....

As soon as I got transportation, I worked at whatever until I could buy a push mower and gas can. I was getting $35-50 a lawn back in the 80’s. Had about 20 lawns to mow during the summer and when it rained a lot some were every week. Took me a total of about 10hrs for them all. Work 2 days a week and make plenty of gas/play money.

Then maybe expand the idea? Besides just nightcrawlers, dig in the garden and look under logs for red worms. Get in the creek and hand catch crawdads and frogs. Google how to catch leeches and sell them... they usually bring a decent price. Make a homemade crawdad trap and minnow traps. Steal your little sisters butterfly net and catch crickets and grasshoppers.

School should be ending before long if it hasn't yet where you live, and the summer is full of possibilities. I don't know if you have land, but when I was a couple years younger than you, I tilled up a half an acre of land behind my house by myself, and planted pumpkins. All year I hauled water to them in buckets. I sold them that fall and made over a hundred dollars (quite a bit back then) to add to my fund for buying a coon dog. Doesn't have to be pumpkins. Sweet corn or melons would be other good choices.

Foraging for wild berries could be another idea. Some people will pay well for wild blackberries, raspberries, even elderberries.

If you live in town or have a way to get to town there are plenty of odd jobs like the ones everyone else have mentioned. But when you live out in the country with no way to get to town everyday it can be harder for someone as young as you to find work.

Edit: If you have any neighbors or family that heat with wood, they might hire you to split and stack it. That's another thing I did every weekend when I was your age, only I didn't get paid for that, lol.

what have you got for tools and skills and facilities?

ask around , yard work , cleaning , dog sitting , dog walking.

I got my start doing a lot of raking , I hate raking but it paid and I was 11 riding my bike to old ladies from church houses and raking all spring more raking in the fall.

painting/ staining is another idea, decks , trim , sheds it doesn't take a lot of tools.

pay attention to local Facebook community pages I got my son a gig helping move a couple across town , they though they needed 2 people for a day they ended up with way more work than they though and had 2 of them for one day and 3 of them for another day.

he was between jobs that week hired on but waiting to start at a local cheese plant.
he had some other friends working part time with a couple phone calls he was able to get a couple friends to help as the people only had the u-haul rented for 2 days.

I mowed yards. Find owners that have a mower so you don't need your own .I bought my first car mowing. Paid cash for a 1976 rally sport Camaro. In 1980
