2 summers ago. Tick in back and got a big bullseye. Medicated and not sure I've had issues in my joints or I'm just turning old..

Anyways my question is can you get lymes twice?

You sure can. At least dogs can. They can get infection on top of infection and that’s what can affect your kidneys . Lyme nephritis.

Which is why we always recommend vaccinating dogs against Lyme disease even if they were positive in the past. Once they finish treatment of course. I would advise going to an infectious disease specialist

I've had it 3x. If untreated it can cause joint issues. Or, you're just getting old like the rest of us.

I’d like to get tested myself but it’s such a struggle. Around here, healthcare is lousy unless you’re on welfare

If you get tested make sure they do a complete tick-borne panel. There are tick-borne diseases that are not Lymes although similar.

My younger brother had it once about 30 plus years ago when it took very long to diagnos the issue. He has wound up with a lot of long term joint issues as one of the lingering health issues. He was on a couple different antibiotics for over a year to help in his recovery.

Whaaaat? Can’t be! “Like your doctor, keep your doctor!”

Healthcare isn’t a shadow of what it once was.
