Invest half spend the other half on dirtbike and traps

I need a new (to me) truck pretty bad, or maybe fix the one I have.

Did they give it to me, or my company? Lol.

I suppose the answer would be different for each scenario. Both would be investing, but in different ways.

If the company, I’d invest in advertising.

If given to me, I’d put it into my house. Maybe a deck and then the rest into an index fund.

Either way, I’d use it in a form where it’d come back to me.

I am too old to waste money investing it and not being able to use it.
Spend it on wine, women, and song, and squander the rest.

I’d pay off the loan I took for my tractor. Get rid of one payment I don’t need. Otherwise Id save it for a new truck. I’ll need one in about two years.

Think I would put it towards a newer truck. My 05 F150 has 230K on the clock and the frame is almost rusted through. Might have to retire the old girl soon.

Re-side the house.. that old cement board is crumbling apart.

But I would probably salt it back and forget about it. I know some will say invest it and make it earn but my gut says we'll be needing liquid assets sooner than later.

I agree with warrior. You can always use more ammo. I've used it to barter with when cash was low. Ammo doesn't lose its value either. 20 grand used to buy a nice truck before dimwit got into office, now its barely the down payment.
On the other hand, I have a lot of cages that could be retired and replaced.
