Mice have been at my skidsteer wiring up in the head liner again. Anyone have any ideas f what I can put up there to try to make them stay out. I put four open bags with moth balls in them up there and they have chewed the plastic on the bag, so I don't think that is working.

Concentrated Peppermint oil will keep them out but you will smell like a lady of the night after a hot day in the skid steer.

I can't believe that cop put me in the back seat when I clearly called shotgun.

I have always told people that for something in an area at risk like a garage or outbuildings , is a non-stop mouse trapping program.

Have traps set at all times. Catch them as they come. I have surrounded cars in garages with traps.

Mouse/rat bait may work but , with traps you know if it is working or not by body count. Deacon has very little to measure it's success.

Try spraying with Pine Sol, It keeps coons out of garbage cans until you can decide on a more permanent solution, I heard it helps with bears as well..If nothing else you'll have clean wiring, lol

the wiring is made from canola now so that is why they are chewing on it.
Get some really hot pepper extract and mix with water and spray on the wiring to leave a residue.
My consulting fees can be paid at the ND convention this summer for a Thank You......Uncle Ben's gladly accepted

I don't really like hosing down the area with stuff. What will it do to the wiring? The connections and mother board? They eat the insolation and the copper itself.

I've noticed that rat/mice bait isn't all the same. I've had some mouse bait untouched even though plenty of mice around.

I've never had them not eat "D con", however. Sometimes they eat it too fast but at least they like it.

I have been using a couple different baits and they are eating them. I even had a dead mouse above the head liner. We had a bumper crop of mice last fall / winter.

I have been using a product called "Grandpa Gus's Mouse Repellent". It has a pleasant spell (peppermint maybe) and comes in little pouches. It sure seems to work for me. I thow a couple in the boat, one in the lawn mower, plow truck, etc over winter and have not had any problems at all.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Nothing beats trapping them regularly dealing with them in camper. Next is exclusion if you even stand a chance at closing up where they coming in.

We have been using the Grampa Guss like 160 said, not been 100% but seems to make a difference.

I just keep my 5 gallon bucket traps going and that keeps them in check as best as possible. Every now and then there’s a mouse but few and far between
