It is a good estimate. At this point, all goods for the sale are in house. Just waiting to be graded and lotted. I think it is probably fairly close. Unless a dealer shows up with his own graded lots with limits. Or unless FH pulls a rabbit out of a hat. LOL

Dealers were hitting the country hard buying beaver this spring. And as folks have said - cash in hand talks.

Cheryl said this morning they are still receiving fur.

It takes more than a strong work ethic to be a beaver trapper. A lack of mental capacity is quite necessary as well

She also once said to sell your beaver early as the market was going to drop.

It's possible they may still take fur in Cambridge but there won't be much

45,000 beaver isn't much. Surprise me that FHA hasn't been able to absorb much of the NAFA trade

Less is better if demand is same or higher than the last auction..

They will take you fur but they will not get into this up-incoming auction. More than a few got burnt last year with the lines they got. And a year later they got paid.

Moral of the story is don't trust a furbuyer.

They don't have the trappers interest in mind.

With the June sale about a month away, the only fur FH is accepting for this sale would be dealer lots that are all ready graded. But that is just my opinion - an uninformed shifty country fur buyer……

Thanks for the timely heads up, crosspatch.

Anyone have their receipts posted on their FHA accounts
for the recent fur they shipped up to North Bay ?

No sign of mine yet on my account.

Does any one know where all the dressed fur is coming from? Are they taking trapper fur and finishing it and reoffering it? If so, that seems very shifty. I cant believe that someone sent 5,000 Dressed Coyotes.

Trappers can send them with their raw stuff. I asked if I could send some tanned bear & yotes and they said giver. But I think I’d get a bit more selling them on my own.
