Anyone moving any of your money to cash in case the market decide to take a down turn or are you letting it all ride?

Keep some paper dollars on hand in case toilet paper is scarce after the crash.
the best way to move money is to spend it on useful stuff.
If you have more than you need then help out family or friends.
That will be your best investment when the card house collapses.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

The national debt is 34 trillion approaching 35 trillion. Sooner or later, we will have to pay the piper. The gov will be coming after what wealth you might have. I hate bringing up doom and gloom but it is what it is.

If they allowed it to get to 34 trillion. Why not 100 trillion or a quadrillion? I don’t think there is an end.

What’s in there stays, but I do have a rather large amount of cash on hand. I try and keep a years salary for a just in case time.

Just put the cash in the wheelbarrow and park it in the garage by the car out of the rain. Save it for a rainy day in case you need a loaf of bread. Thieves would rather have it so they can get it electronic transfer.

One thief could drive by one of your camaras, Then when you rush out to find them and investigate, the other could be in your safe.

Mice love cash.

I was thinking about moving some from index funds into bond funds in my 401 in hopes to avoid the losses them move them back into index funds when they are in sale. May or may not be a good move.

Cash has been loosing value so don't keep a bunch on hand. And around 20k in the bank but need to invest half of that just not sure in what.

Been paying off all debt with over 2% interest. Under that letting it ride

What I mean is moving it to a cash fund within your investment portfolio to be conservative. Don't lose, but don't gain. So when the market tanks, you keep what you have.

Your 2019 dollar is now worth .88©. In cash long it will lose value. I didn't see a cash fund in my 401 offered so figured bonds were as safe as I could get. But I don't know much about them other than low returns

Don't bonds have a better return over the money market long term?

Number one trust in God not money number 2 be out of debt number 3 store up garden seeds and dried beans and the like. Diversify. Be careful if you’re buying gold. A local guy was buying gold and silver locally and a dealer employee robbed and murdered the guy. People have murdered people after finding out they have a couple thousand dollars in their house. If I had $200 hidden in my house I wouldn’t tell a mouse. Crime is increasing everywhere and see havnt seen anything yet. And last I’d say ask God for mercy and for a true revival. We’re headed for (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). A nation that forgets God will be judged. Oh ya! And buy a few more traps and 22 shells 😁

Timing the market rarely works out in your favor. The markets goes up, and the market goes down. If we actually get to a point that it stays down permanently, money wont mean a thing.....bullets, fishing poles and garden seeds will be priceless.

True, but I hear when a person is close to retirement (they already made their money), to move 2 or three years to cash. That way if the market drops, they don't lose on that money and it will sustain them to ride out the dip and the market rebounds. Markets usually don't stay in the crapper for more than a couple years.
