I'm excited for the drop of 50+%. Yep it's well overdue. When it drops it's on sale and I will increase my investments as much as I can but it won't be much since it's been 25 to 26% of my income all year. Made 18% in the markets in the last year at over 13% year to date. Markets go up and down but history shows 10% gain over time. The horrible great depression is just a minor blip on the chart.

Infact it is a big part of driving old beaters so I can dump more in the markets instead of paying interest in a vehicle payment. Also paying off all my small amount of remaining debt.

Selling debt is, totally, different than calling a debt. Debt is sold every day. Heck, most folks here who have/had a mortgage have had that debt sold to another bank, at least once. It does make one wonder, what type of cyber attack they have planned that might make it difficult/impossible for the U.S. to make good on that debt?

What makes you believe that other nations and central banks will always want to buy US treasuries?

Or maybe he is smart and keeps an eye on his investments and things that could affect it.

Yeah, I have a couple of ETF "shorts" that hopefully play out. Sooner or later the walking on pure air at this point will stop and the fall will happen. That's just in my "play money" account. We'll see...

Doesn't J.P. Morgan/Chase now own something such as 10% of the fe government debt? I suspect that U.S. banks own more of Janet baby's custodian portfolio of yours than both the Chicoms and the Nipponese combined.

Japan owns 1.138 trillion in US debt and is currently the largest holder of it. About 3%

JP Morgan at the end of 2023 held 231.47 billion . That is less than 1% of national debt

It's best to divest your assets from a country, before going to war with them. China has proven themselves our enemy with how they manipulate US social media. I would rather not fight China, but if we do, we need to immediately, utterly, destroy them.

Lol Right the opposite! I’m hoping it goes to 43,000. Then when the corrections happens more desperation means more bargains.
