The Phillies lost a series to the team with the worst record in the National League. Maybe they took the Rockies too lightly.

So how did your Cubs do against the lowly Cardinals? Not good. I Love the Cubs, But I also understand Common Sense-Cubs are not playing well and may have a streak here and there. But the Coach is not capable of taking the Cubs anywhere but home early.

The Cubs exploded in extra innings, the Phillies didn't, the bats are cold. Tough loss for the Phills. They had opportunities but couldn't capitalize on them. Cub's relievers tried hard to give the game away but luckily held them off just long enough.

Hard to believe but the Indians are still hanging in there. They are a half game behind the Phillies for the best record in baseball. They lost their best starting pitcher and one of their best relievers for the season in early April. Still a long ways to go.

Glad to see the worst umpire in baseball retire. Several years ago he sued MLB for discrimination. He wasn't getting to work the playoffs and wasn't promoted to crew chief. He said it was because he was Hispanic. He lost because they weren't discriminating. He was just so bad that nobody wanted him in the playoffs. Baseball wanted rid of him for years but the umpire union kept him from getting fired.

Indians are 9-1 in their last 10 games, hottest team in baseball right now, but that can change in a hurry. Enjoy it while it lasts. Brewers closer got a line drive off his pitching arm last night. Hate to see him hurt, but maybe it'll slow them down some.
