You want more people trapping and hunting, quit making it unattractive to participate.

Does an on-line or mail-in survey make it unattractive to participate?

What do you want? Start loaning traps out to people? Which I have done.

No seriously. That was one of his questions on the survey he sent out

What can be done to encourage more people to trap.

Can’t force landowners to provide access.

He is in the works to get as much public ground open to upland trapping for as much time as possible. There are other things that are going on that he mentioned. That I can’t talk about, but all of it is good.

What do yall want to see.

And don’t say get rid of trapper education. That isn’t going anywhere. And if a free 3 hour online or 9 hour in-person class is what is holding you back! Trapping might not be your thing.

Sounds like a lot of work to fill in a few boxes and return it.

If you aren’t willing to answer a few optional questions and it is too much work to walk to the
Mailbox or click send on an email. Well, sounds like they are going to really not like the work involved in trapping.

Just another process. I’m certain like yourself, there are employees that hunt, trap and fish. Use that data.

Licking stamps or pushing buttons ain’t a big deal, it’s what are they really after. What kind of accuracy are they anticipating with the current climate?

Well you’re acting like a judge dictating what I can respond with and what I can’t so I guess we are done talking about it.

Today, my wife and I both received our Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies surveys. We will fill them out and return them without fear or distrust.

Already filled out and sent in. A significant number of our conservation officers are trappers and active members and supporters of our state trapping association. Only way good things happen is if you participate from the inside. Complaining from the outside accomplishes nothing.

No they won't.

Only old codgers like you will walk away....but you're like me ...we wont be around much longer anyway....so it don't matter.

Btw...I'm not employed by any agency....I retired 2 years ago. That's why they need to survey you.

It must be miserable going through life with such a negative outlook on everthing. Some of you aren’t happy unless you’re miserable.

3 of the 4 I introduced to trapping love the trapping, jumping through the hoops to get permission to do so, not so much. Oh well, at least one jumped through.

So, the hoop of asking for permission?

What would you like done about that? Just allow anyone to access a persons private property without permission?

Guess we can force trapping supply companies to give away lure and traps?

Hey, Paul! Where is my free lure?

I’ll just stop by the house and get it.

Will see how that works out for me.
