The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

Zero turn. Buy a commercial unit if possible, at $3500 that will mean it’s used.

my only advice is , you know one day it will need spindles , go shopping so you know what your looking at for later

greaseable spindles would be nice , and even nicer if the user greased them.

I am working on one now 971 hours , not sure the spindles were ever greased , so all 3 need and are getting rebuilt , the good news only one bearing was in pieces of the 6.

if it were properly greased ever 100 hours I bet it would not even show wear on the spindles at 1000 hours.

if those spindles can't be rebuilt 535 each for the assembly , ouch

anything Toro commercial , you may have 5 toro dealers in a short drive but there is only a handful of Toro commercial dealers and they are the only ones who can sell toro commercial parts

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Somehow she got into some tall think grass and the belt that was wore out snapped.. Started grinding bad under the engine and she turned it off right there..

Lunch break I drove it the garage and seemed like some sort of driveshaft or gear box was grinding bad.. I didn't have time to really look it over and thought the worst and made this thread..
Turns out when the belt broke it grabbed and bent like belt hangers into the mower belt pulley.. 2 bolts and straighten them back and grab a new belt today and should be in business..

I've said for like the last 6 fix/rig jobs on this mower that next time something breaks I'm buying new... Lol

Green you can buy the 3 spindle COMPLETE kit for 62 bucks . WITH PULLEYS . Why mess with rebuilding.... DON"T get them from dealer. OEM spindles on amazon. If mower has 970 hrs they will last as long as the rest of it....

My wife mows anything that doesn’t move then has a puzzled look when she wrecks it, the deal is she mows and I fix the thing. She will attack a new spot without looking what’s in the taller grass it’s like powder puff mowing. It took some convincing to get her to turn off the blades when going across the driveway (but it’s such a short distance She says).

Long list of things she’s run over, ran into and also destroyed with flying rocks like this sliding door on the front of the house. I put a mulcher block on the deck and that helps with the rock throwing. One mower she drove up on my plastic truck ramps for some reason and engaged the blades making one a tad shorter.

Been running Toro mowers they hold up well for the abuse she gives them.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

What type and size mower/deck you working on? $535 each is almost hard to believe.

I am in the same boat. My wife loves to run over anything, she cuts grass like Stevie Wonder. I bought her a mower and spare deck because she tears the wheels off of them
I have replaced 2 car window, patched a hole in the pool, a tie down strap, the sons slide( how she got one wheel up it), heat pump and a few dings in stuff.
Those are all old Gravely 8000 series mowers.

I've got a buddy who says that when his wife mows, she hits everything but the lottery.  That's funny, but he didn't say it in front of her!
