So swamp do you think I would be wrong for killing a copperhead in my back yard when my kids find it where they play and my dogs are? I mean it would be against the game laws. I should probably just leave them alone and go the the state house and try to get the law changed and leave the threat in my yard untill then RIGHT?

There is never an acceptable reason to break a game law they are there for a reason after all.

This is one reason I say I obey most game laws not all of them. I'm honest and freely admit the copperheads head was removed from it's body and it went into the outside wood burner to avoid having the kids get bit by the dead snake that's mouth was still working just fine. Figure if a opossum cop wants to have any problems with me over that well....

Your wrong on your opinion not matter it does to those like myself that respect you and value your opinion and decades of experience. I greatly respect our conservation officers and law enforcement.
That doesn't mean I agree with or like when I here them with the the law is the law, get the law changed, I'm just doing my job. It would be nice to hear a simple yes there are times and exceptions where the law is ok to break.

Figured a venomous snake in my yard the kids found and the youngest 7 at the time was going to catch before his 9 year old brother stopped him saying I think that may ba a bad one let's get mom would be an easy common sense example where you may be able to even halfway admit ya illegal or not I would have killed that snake.
But instead it's deflected to call your Indiana CO. And the inability to do something so simple blows my mind.
