You know...there are a few other GWs on Tman. They're smarter than me as they don't put it out there much and surely don't offer a wildlife law enforcement viewpoint. I should follow their lead....lol

Georgia GWs, by policy, don't work traffic enforcement....unless there is an immediate public safety threat or they are assisting another agency.....ie possible drunk driver or reckless driver. They do issue citations for traffic offenses if the offense occurred during a wildlife violation...ie night deer hunter is driving with no driver's license, etc....the GW makes those charges too.

We were not trained in speed detection and did not have radar devices issued to us....thank goodness! Georgia GW command staff wants officers to concentrate on wildlife enforcement/boating safety.......not highway traffic.

You replied quite a lot to my post when I asked how God looked upon someone that had total disregard for the law and haven't let up when you've saw my Tman name on another thread. Why?

To maybe clear some of this up I will say this....I was not raised in church and what I know about God and our Savior Jesus Christ, I learned by reading the Bible. I did not hear another man tell me these things. I consider myself a Christian and I believe from my heart that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died on the cross and rose again. I pray and try to be humble and treat everyone as I'd like to be treated....always have.

I am not as knowledgeable about God's Word as I want to be and im sure many here on Tman are. But, I really didn’t expect some of the replies on that thread. It went off track from what I was actually asking and I couldnt get it back on track. Many took offense that I would compare such a thing. Others seemed to go in attack mode and still are.

It was an honest question. I meant no ill will or in vain comparison...by any means.

I'm still getting kickback....but that's OK. I learned from it. Still am.

When your only interaction with game wardens your entire life was with them behind a holes trying to find any little thing to wright you up for, or maybe it was a few years back when the local CO was renting a house from a big land owner and that land owner stopped in the road and started rapping off rounds at a deer running that had just been shot by my cousins wife. It was obvious they ( farmer shooting from the road)missed from the entry and exits and blood trail. But that buck made it 20 yards across the road before falling on the land lord farmers land. All was clearly visible to my cousin and his wife from their blind.

The CO let the land owner off never a thing said about him shooting from the road that's illegal also was shooting at the buck at that time was not on his land. But because it dropped on his land he got to keep the buck. It was enough to make my cousin's wife quit hunting. Yeah technically the land owner can keep them from retreating a deer that made it to his land but the CO should have could have suggested to him to let them recover it since he was illegally shooting at it from the road. But instead he threatened my cousin and his wife to keep quiet and harassment got worse for a while after many e mails with the videos my cousin took for sent to people in charge in Indy. Nothing came of it negative for the CO it was sweep under the rug.

The CO is the big land owners lap dog gets cheap rent and is able to hunt the huge property in exchange for not arresting the land owner for illegally shooting from the road and farm equipment and with spot lights.

Same guy claimed a huge buck my cousin shot with his bow that made it 29 yards across the line before it fell. Again would not let him retrieve the deer and mad a lot of screaming threats. Mad the buck he wanted was killed and he didn't get it He is a real pos and had that reputation. Yet others always help him cover it up thin blue line and all.

So yeah I have a negative or at best case very reserved opinion of them especially back then understanding why so many went missing in days past. BUT in the last few years I have got to be around some very nice outdoors men that are CO's starting at the hunter Ed classes the boys went to. It was a very well put together class especially with so many kids not getting the education from their dad's. There were a few boys there with their single mom's that didn't hunt but we're getting to hunt with a friend and their dad or moms boyfriend for example.

The Game wardens we're great with the kids not only answering questions but asking questions that made the kids thing and get involved. Education and teaching is a huge thing for me and I was impressed in the work those men put in to put such a good class on. It included shooting rifle, shotguns, revolvers and pistols. Infact I was so impressed I told them to let me know if and when they ever needed help.

Also had some great experience with CO's with your hunts in state ground. So yes my opinions have drastically changed.. like the general population you have good and bad. Game wardens are people from the general population and you also have both good and bad. I just had my early interactions with some that were bad ones or maybe just young with a power trip and something to prove. I allowed those to negatively affect my perception of all of them and that was not right to do.



Once you start shooting suppressed you will never want to shoot without one. E filed form 4 filed as an individual have been getting approved very quickly some in days. Trust are still taking longer

What gets old is people derailing threads just to try to badger another member over something completely unrelated to the topic at hand. Completely unnecessary.

Got a local gun shop that has the kiosk to do all the ATF paperwork. I feel as I should do the Trust. Skeeters are horrible down here now...day and night...so I don’t mind the wait. Haven't even shot the new Ruger Ranch Gen2 .300 BO yet.

My left knee has had me in the recliner (and on Tman too much) lately. Had 2 turkey basters full of fluid drawn off it last week....much better now. I may head up to the hog woods this weekend but I'll carry the AR 5.56 with the thermal....if I can stand the skeeters.

Swamp Wolf: I understand your objective. Mans commandments have been creeping into church quite sometime. I guess its just a sign of the times. People feel they are about to be subjected into giving into the government everything, including a way to even protect themselves. We have been lawed to death and they are still passing them to take even more freedom. Instead of been held accountable for ones actions such as drunk driving, the solution is to outlaw alcohol. When there is a shooting instead of accountability they want to take away all guns.

People are wired to man made laws. If the law says its ok to kill babies then if the law says its ok then the conscience tells them no different. The conscience is supposed to act like a deputy telling the soul perhaps in a still small voice that certain actions are either good or bad. But mans laws don't all match God's law. So I hope you understand that people are only rebelling in anyway they can. When we see more frivolous laws being passed about whether one can pick up a dead fox or kill a snake in his backyard, yet have absurd laws or the lack of laws that are not Gods' laws and we seem to be getting better by dividing states so one is legal and one is not, yet I'm afraid God cannot see state boundary lines. In the mean time the average working guy neither knows how nor financially able to do a Mr. Smith goes to Washington. So we yell out and rebel the only way we know how or have the means. Its the outlaw in us I guess, seems more honorable than doing nothing.

Anyway if our objective is to have a better place for families to raise kids then arguing and bickering will keep us divided and that is what the Anti-Christ which some believe will be from the Tribe of Dan the Serpent. Making and enforcing more laws just ain't going to cut it. Surely God will hear and answer His peoples prayer. Good Night.

Trust is the way to go in my opinion, I hear that have been coming back in around 6 weeks for some of them anyway. Much better than 6 months to a year or heck I have one it took me 16 months for approval. Down side of fast approvals are everything on silincer shop I want has been sold out and in back order now for months .
I would like to get a rugged Alaskan before November for my 13 year olds 350 legend.

I'm considering the Rex Silentium. Local gunshop has sold a bunch of them. It'll be used only on the Ruger Ranch. I don’t have any other rifles that are threaded.

Didn't keep the rattler's skin or rattles. They are so common here. I used to cut the rattles off years ago...had a jar full. Don't know where that ended up.
