I tend to wear t-shirts until they have mostly fallen apart too. In hot humid weather, I may weigh 6 p!us, different t-shirts in a day. What finally kills my old t-shirts off is my need of a new rag for cleaning or oiling tools.
Keith As fast as socks get wore out theses days that's where my rags tend to come from.

I grew up in a solid middle class home from a financial perspective but alcoholism lead to neglect. I had to meet up with my little sister before gym class so we could swap shoes. As you might imagine, it was humiliating.
I don't know what you would call it but it made me very keen as to how I dress. I have more clothes than I know what to with and I don't wear tattered rags anymore.

my wife starts looking at them because they have a half rotted out collar or severe staining
I just tell Her STOP , you can tell me not to wear them someplace we are going but we are not throwing out a shirt that feels so good
now there are shirts that are brand new and i put them on and under a minute they need to come off the just hit all the places wrong
but a really worn in shirt that fits just right , oh-yeah
my youngest tells me I look like a hobo
I was having a hard time finding a shirt that felt right the other day , everyone wants to put spandex or some garbage in them
I want a cotton T-shirt I found some at wamart 4x cotton they were surrounded by poly garbage but these ones were cotton I thing 4.88 each , I got 4 because they actually felt good and had a pocket
now I should only need a 4X but some places cut too small.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I rarely wear t-shirts. Pretty much all my shirts have a collar. I'm sorry for you. Although that does explain some things, lol.

I love a super soft worn vintage Tee. My brother gave me a Rowdy Roddy Piper tee that was vintage and he met him and had it signed. I never worn it but it’s a gem Piper's famous line in "They Live" was one of the best movie lines of all times. "I am here to chew bubble gum and kick blank and I am all out of bubble gum." If I'm wearing a T-shirt, 95% of the time it's one with my company name and logo on it. I keep a few new or like new ones handy for meeting new customers or working in close proximity to them. The majority are old, faded, stained and have holes. They are worn on construction/demolition sites where I'm not likely to see customers or will only see long-time customers who don't care what I'm wearing. When they get too worn out they become shop rags along with old socks and underwear. I do have a drawer full of old (30+ years) concert T's and T's bought at various places/businesses I've visited over the years. Those are my good T-shirts.

Eh...wot?
