Over the last few months I have notice how much more I enjoy my old thin often with some holes T shirts over nice bright thick new ones. I guess it's the same with most of my clothes from boots and shoes to pants an well but I have really just noticed it with old t's. Especially when mom suggested I need some new ones and I told her I have many new ones but tend to prefer how the old ones feel and fit.

Figured I probably was not the only one that thinks they are more comfortable thought I would ask.

I have trashed out t-shirts that go back 30 plus years….and I still wear them regularly.

I rarely wear t-shirts. Pretty much all my shirts have a collar.

I tend to wear t-shirts until they have mostly fallen apart too. In hot humid weather, I may weigh 6 p!us, different t-shirts in a day. What finally kills my old t-shirts off is my need of a new rag for cleaning or oiling tools.

As fast as socks get wore out theses days that's where my rags tend to come from.

I grew up in a solid middle class home from a financial perspective but alcoholism lead to neglect. I had to meet up with my little sister before gym class so we could swap shoes. As you might imagine, it was humiliating.

I don't know what you would call it but it made me very keen as to how I dress. I have more clothes than I know what to with and I don't wear tattered rags anymore.

my wife starts looking at them because they have a half rotted out collar or severe staining

I just tell Her STOP , you can tell me not to wear them someplace we are going but we are not throwing out a shirt that feels so good

now there are shirts that are brand new and i put them on and under a minute they need to come off the just hit all the places wrong

but a really worn in shirt that fits just right , oh-yeah

my youngest tells me I look like a hobo

I was having a hard time finding a shirt that felt right the other day , everyone wants to put spandex or some garbage in them

I want a cotton T-shirt I found some at wamart 4x cotton they were surrounded by poly garbage but these ones were cotton I thing 4.88 each , I got 4 because they actually felt good and had a pocket

now I should only need a 4X but some places cut too small.

I use old socks and underwear too. I won't wear socks or underwear with holes, like I will a t-shirt.

My friend James wears jeans that he has worn apart. I tell him he should sell them to kids that want destroyed jeans, as designer jeans, for the price of three new pairs.

I love a super soft worn vintage Tee. My brother gave me a Rowdy Roddy Piper tee that was vintage and he met him and had it signed. I never worn it but it’s a gem

I'm sorry for you. Although that does explain some things, lol.

Piper's famous line in "They Live" was one of the best movie lines of all times. "I am here to chew bubble gum and kick blank and I am all out of bubble gum."

If I'm wearing a T-shirt, 95% of the time it's one with my company name and logo on it. I keep a few new or like new ones handy for meeting new customers or working in close proximity to them. The majority are old, faded, stained and have holes. They are worn on construction/demolition sites where I'm not likely to see customers or will only see long-time customers who don't care what I'm wearing. When they get too worn out they become shop rags along with old socks and underwear.

I do have a drawer full of old (30+ years) concert T's and T's bought at various places/businesses I've visited over the years. Those are my good T-shirts. grin

Eh...wot?

Got to say trap dog I was not sure if I was impressed or felt sorry for you. Personally I'm not a fan of collars yet do like looking nice in them. Also more professional jobs may be better but not sure since I have no experience there. I did think it was a great opportunity to make a sharky comment but let it pass.
