Heading out to the western NTA in Glenn’s Ferry Monday from Indiana. Gonna take a few stretchers to sell and drag the boat behind me as I’m going up to Dworshak the Sunday after to fish for large Smallies. Lol or little ones. Plan to spend a week there. Then across Montana to Fort Peck for a few days before heading home.

What’s cool and gotta see in the neighborhood and route?

Good deal just remember Clean , Drain and Dry we don't have Zebra mussels and don't want them .
A quick check at a FWP check station will save you getting ran down by them ha ha and yes they will come after you if they see you driving by .

Fishing isn't to bad on Fort Peck Lake the walleye fishing is good when the wind isn't to wild and crazy !

You're friend along the snare line .

Put your boat in at Fort Peck Marina. They can give you some advice on fishing. The wind can blow and its very large body of water.Walleye are popular and the salmon fishery is getting good. You may want to splurge for a guide for one day to learn the water and how to fish it.The Ft. Peck dam is a very good place to visit. They have a nice visitors center.

If you like bass fishing Noxon reservoir is one of the better places to bass fish. You can bass fish in Indiana. Why not try some other species? Flathead lake has big lake trout. Good shore fising for trout in many places in Montana.

Your boat will be checked as Allen said so make sure its clean.

If I were coming west to fish different spots for the first time I might hire a guide service esp. on the big water.Depending on how much time you have it takes time to learn different places to be successful.

We have BIG mountains and passes in Western Montana .If you are used to driving over this type of terrain ok. Interstates are much better to travel.
