I wear my t shirts til I can't stand them any longer.
Because of grease stains, burn holes from cutting, welding and grinding or just flat worn out.
The older they get the more comfortable they are.

I wear whatever T shirts/collared shirts my wife washes and puts in the closet.

She knows what to buy because she knows what I will and won't wear since we've been together almost 30 years.

I have no attachment to any of it--other than my hunting clothes and clothes I work in around the farm. That's more of a warmth and durability attachment.

I have to wear them for work and they are free, so I just wear them all the time. Makes sense to me!

They definitely get more comfortable with use.

Dark pocket Tee for me. Don't show stains as bad.

Other than a plain undershirt, neither of my Grandfathers ever wore a T shirt. They weren’t professional people…one was a brakeman on the RR, the other a coal miner. Most days, after they retired, they would wear dress pants, dress shirt, and sometimes a tie. Never sneakers, always dress shoes.

My Father never wore a T shirt either. But he would wear a collared Polo shirt. He didn’t own a pair of blue jeans. Worked in a plant making rocket fuel.

When I was in public school back in the 60s, you’d be sent to the office if you wore a T shirt to school. Sneakers were only worn in gym class. Some kids wore jeans, and by the late 60s, most did.

I don’t wear many T shirts today. I guess you become a product of how you were raised and those who raised you.

I worked outside most of my life. I always wore a T-shirt or no shirt. The last five years or so I started wearing light-weight cotton, long-sleeve, button-down shirts and a wide-brimmed soaker/breezer hat in hot weather to keep the sun off me and keep me cooler.

Friends and workers tell me I dress like an Amishman now. I'm good with that, the Amish figured it out long ago.

Eh...wot?

I work outside everyday and mostly wear a golf type shirt with a collar. I threw the cotton out a long time ago.

Lugnut the Amish have it figured.

Used to think those wide brimmed straw hats & long sleeve shirts were silly looking.

Now I think someone is being smart.

I'm right there with you, except for me it's my work supplied fr pants and boots. Saves me quite a bit of money on pants and foot Wear especially when added up over the last 18 years. The fr shirts not something comfortable or that you want to wear at all and I seldom Wear them except when the bees get hot and I decided to put on long sleeves. 98% or more of the times I'm in a t shirt.

Because t had a job that put me in a position that I dealt with out side vendors on a daily basis I tried to dress in a manner that portrayed a professional way I was the receiving clerk for my employer So often times I was the start or the end of my companies contact whenever an order was placed and delivered But it was more my style to dress as I was trying to be comfortable .I typically wore a nice tee shirt and a pair of jeans Some days however I would put on a well washed shirt and a and a pair of jeans that had been worn for a number of cycles through the washing machine One tee shirt that had been given to me by a vendor had been through the wash cycle to the point that it was near to see through But it was not torn or had any holes in it Another employee that had a very similar dress code as me said that shirt is so thin you should throw it out I said first of all I wear it just because some people react to it They are the self appointed fashion police and fashion does not matter much to me Plus the company do not provide a uniform to me so they have a limited amount of input in what I wear And than I said it is so thin that it would be useless as a rag so it does a better job as a shirt that a rag So it is of more use as a shirt He stopped and said only you would say that and it is true that it would not be worth anything as a rag As the old saying goes We always did feel the same we just saw it from a different point of view .
