The red hot Cardinals are coming to Philly tomorrow night. Should be a good game.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Lowly Brewers manage to squeak by the mighty Cubs. Not sure who was booing Counsell more, Cubs or Brewers fans. Both probably have laryngitis. Not a popular guy either place.

You are right about that!

Cubs face the Reds, Cards face Philly,,, Cubs should put a games on the Cards in the next three,,, but I won't hold my breath the way the Cubs have been all this month!

Brewers get to play bottom of the barrel White Sox. shocked

With Acuna out for the season and about 4 pitchers on the disable list the Braves are really struggling. The Phillies are hopeful Turner will be back in the lineup soon. He is projected to be back early to the middle of June. It is hard to believe, but before long the season will reach the half way point. That also means the trade deadline will soon be here. Since the Phillies did very little in the off season, I doubt they will do much leading up to the trade deadline, I think they will pretty much go with what they have.

I finally get to watch the Phillies on TV, Fox is broadcasting tonight's game and when Fox does a Phillies game it doesn't get blacked out.

Brewers take a couple from the Sox, who are one of the poorer teams in either league, but wins are wins. Cardinals are moving up and now past the Cubs. I felt the Reds would be more competative then they have been.

Cubs are in a complete meltdown.. all the bats seem to have holes in them.. the errors and sloppy defense is starting to stack up ( which you have 3 gold gloves on the feild).. the bullpen is a dumpster fire.. and now the starting rotation.. which was the best era in the mlb is showing signs of cracking…
I don’t know if it’s a clubhouse issue or what,,
But I’ll stick with my personal opinion that firing David Ross was premature and an extremely dirty thing to do..
This team, so far, has not fared any better under counsell…
Ross really didn’t have much to work with… my only complaint was how he handled the bullpen.
If the cubs can’t get it together.. everyone in the lineup will be batting.200 or lower.
A complete and utter embarrassment

To date the Brewers have are tied for highest Batting average for a team in the MLB. They have habitually been in the bottom 1/3rd for several years. They are the only team in the NL central batting better after 50 some games the the other 4 teams.

Cubs are a big dumpster fire right now. They need to get some hot bats and reliever/closer type pitchers. Trade talks are in the works. I think Counsel is the worst manager they have had in many years too.

Brewers won 8 of their last 10. Helps when they play the teams from Chicago for six of those games wink

Brewers starting rotation isn’t much, but keeps them in most games where they can win with their bullpen. A different guy got a save today. I think they have eight players with at least one this year.

Offense knows if they can get a lead, they will win. Defense has been pretty good this year and it always helps when you don’t give the team extra outs.

We will see how the Brewers fare when the match up against the Phillies for a few games. They are playing good ball but got beat by STL in 10 today.

Def gonna keep my eyes on the brewers/ Phillies series.. Phillies are playing some serious baseball.
I know it’s still a long way until October.. but every game still counts.
At least the cubs aren’t quite the dumpster fire as the Marlins.

I would have to say that the Phillies are Superior to any other team in MLB at this point of the Season! My Cubs make me want to VOMIT!!!! I don't see that Coach making it past the All-Star Game.

Look at the Brewers Now, they are a better team now [ I will cry conspiracy if the Brewers Continue winning! LOL! as to I think somebody paid off the other guy to have the Brewers Coach make sure the Cubs don't Succeed at Winning and the Brewers are the Final Winners] Thoughts? lol

GO! CUBS! GO!

Nice seeing Hoskins get such a warm welcome back to Philly. The crowd was excited that his home run was just a solo shot. Crew has some work to do. They are not playing Chicago anymore.

Why did the Brewers starting pitcher on pitch one inning? He looked pretty good the inning he pitched.

Some great defense and timely hitting beat the Brewers today. I'm hoping for a Phillies sweep!

Cubs have almost twice the salary the Brewers do but struggle to maintain consistant better play. Not too much different than in the past. Owners and GM probably thought a new manager may change the status quo, but when you get high salaried players who don't feel they need to be coached, results are not always what they would seem to be on paper. I much prefer to watch and follow young teams with players trying to improve their game then a group of high paid atheletes wondering what is the next best thing comming their way.

I see Marsh is on thre IL for the Phillies. Good player in my mind, how impactful has he been in their season to date?
