My son ordered three tubes of grease from ebay. Three tubes came in three different walmart boxes on three consecutive days. No way they made money on this.

I had friends end up with extra full cases of things they ordered. They called a few times trying to send it back but was told to keep it after a while.

Edit just remembered it was he ordered a few boxes of ammo but got cases instead. No legally returns on ammo allowed. So he keep them and only paid for the few boxes.

I never get lucky like that.

That is not uncommon at all, Bernie. Makes no sense to me but it's the way they do things, I guess.

I don't see how anyone makes any money on anything with the way shipping costs are.

Your son likely could of bought the same grease tubes cheaper, directly from Walmart. The seller never had possession of the items. I bought pots of eBay last year that the seller waited for Amazon Prime Days to ship, that I could of bought directly from Amazon myself, for a few dollars cheaper. When I realized what happened, I bought the next order of pots directly from Amazon The seller was in China and specialized in heavily advertising items, they never owned, from many different companies, for a few dollar profit each sale.

Frequently the Chinese, Indian and Pakistani sellers, who practice this, also use stolen credit cards to buy the items, so any profit, is pure profit for them.

\The hour and a half round trip drive to walmart would have been cost prohibitive.

Walmart has been unsuccessfully trying to take the online market from Amazon for years. Walmart carries many products online, that will never be sold in a Walmart store.

At least it is the good grease

lots of shipping blunders , they hire people like they are widgets and then wonder why they go through so many.

There is enough craziness around already.......so I don't order any.

Some sellers pay significantly less for shipping than the average person.....they may need to ship x amount of things a month to qualify.

Foreign shippers only have to pay their country's own rates to the US Post Office, which typically results in a loss for the Post Office. USPS uses regular Americans to subsidize foreign shippers. That should be illegal. It's terrible for Americans and American small businesses.
