Looks like a couple of rodents want to live in the back of my shed. Not sure if they will behave or not.

From the looks of the bigger one, someone must have taken a shot at it.

I highly doubt they will behave. Rascals can dig like a badger and climb like a squirrel. Here if they stay out back I'll leave them alone. If they come up by the buildings they will be gone.

Got some in the yard here and the wife done passed judgment on em, so they die soon.

Yup, same here. Stay out of my horse pasture and stay away from my barns and woodshed. Otherwise it's lead poisoning. .22 WRM for the close shots, .222 Rem further out.

A 22 will take care of your situation.

A conibear at the hole will take care of them in quick order.

They are pests. They will make piles of excavated dirt around building foundations, dig boroughs you don’t want your lawn equipment or tractors getting into and they will wipe out a garden in short order. They are one of the few critters I know that will snip a tomato plant off at the base and dragged the whole thing away.

I don’t let them live on my property, at least not within the range of my AR off the deck.

Had them periodically for years, when my daughter was young she called the first one Steve.... I'm up to Stevie 11, or so now. Just saw Stevie 12 2 days ago, waiting for him to decide to stay and then there will be room for Stevie 13.... It doesn't take much to amuse me....

and if their garden raiding wasn't bad enough, they come with the biggest fleas I've ever seen, big light tan suckers. Had to clean out a few horse pastures from them and they were all the same.

I have had groundhogs living under my back shed off and on since I built it many years ago.
I suspect one will spend the winter there hibernating,I will see it in the yard for about a week each spring nibbling on the fresh greens then it moves on.
Thats the only time I see them
When I had my Husky dog he would catch and kill them once in a while when he caught them inside chain range,
They dont bother anything in my yard so I leave them alone.
I had a couple neighbors that had nice veg gardens that would have a groundhog problem once in a while and ask me to get rid of them. They were easy to get when they raid a garden they have a trail,I just set it up with a mini snarepole and they would be all tangled up next time they visited the garden.
Other than that I dont bother them since they dont hurt anything in my yard.

I dont charge people in town when they need one gone,but I do get lots of nice fresh veggies.

Me either. I've trapped 46 of them on my small property since 2015 so far. 160 conibears.
