All the recent rain has them out in force. Worse than I have seen for many years. They are finding their way into the house too. Hate wearing bug dope but I might have to start.

as much as I don't like using a bunch of poison , when it gets bad , mow your lawn short and spray everything withing 50 feet of your doors with a yard spray

cutter , off , ortho, lots of brands
I have tried those three all worked
it depended what was on sale at the time

a link to help you see what I am talking abou t
https://www.amazon.com/Cutter-Backy...51f30472&pd_rd_i=B0C2XHS8P7&th=1

you are best to do it on a sunny day , it is dog safe once it is dry
you can use it on the dog kennels also it kills ticks and fleas as well

when it gets bad enough that I use it I still don't spray the garden.

don't use it around ponds , creeks , water that will have fish it kills fish
once it dries it doesn't run off and cause problems

this is very similar to the stuff we spray our cloths with to keep the ticks off

also mix up a batch of the veterinary permethrin and spray your outdoor cloths , I just did most of my pants they are hanging out to dry right now, spray the cuffs extra that is the only place I spray inside and out otherwise just the outside.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

With the global warming forecast they was predicting possible malaria outbreaks. Rachel Carson took heat for the malaria death increase. We had sleeping sickness here one time when the fair came to town and the horses brought it in. Several people died. It was a scary time.

Sleeping sickness is what it was called at the time, 1963 i think, they figured it was encephalitis later. The sleeping sickness is what stuck in my head.

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

I had to fire up the Thermacell INSIDE my bear blind last weekend. They were getting in through the cracks faster than I could kill them. After a minute or two with the Thermacell, even with the window open, not a single mosquito inside. I even turned on my flashlight and looked because I couldn't believe it. Couple minutes later a sow and 2 cubs came in. I could see the mosquitos flying around them from 75 yards away.

I've got a fogger that I bought last year and it works really good at keeping all flying insects at bay.

I just must live the golden life cause I live out in the country, our house sits in a 3 acre field that's is never mowed surrounded by woods and we can sit out in the evenings on the porch and very rarely ever see a skeeter.
Course we NEVER spray any kind of pesticide and we have 3 bird houses in that field that are being used by tree swallows. As it gets dark bats can be seen patrolling the field when swallows are dozing, 24/7 free skeeter eaters.
I haven't seen a skeeter around the house yet this year. In the woods its a different matter, its not as it has been years past, dress right and skeeters are inconsequential.

Seems rather foolish to spray pesticides to kill one bug all the while killing all the other bugs that eat those bugs and doing untold harm to other wildlife that would also eat those bugs, but what do I know.

When I was a junior enlisted reservist in the Coast Guard, we had a remote station in swampland on the Inland Waterway. Every Friday, the weekend duty section mowed the grass. A set of treated coveralls kept in a sealed 5-gallon bucket was worn by the operator of the riding mower. The mower had a smaller motor that produced huge a fog of bug spray. The fuel tank to the main motor also had an additive to produce a fog. Four members were assigned to mow. Each member mowed for only 15 minutes per hour. I only did it once, and I had so many bites that I had a low-grade temperature. We never swatted a mosquito, we raked them.

Has anyone ever tried these? They have different sizes and you just buy the refill cartridges. I’m researching the reviews as we speak

Not that particular model, but I have one of the older ones with a fuel canister and the little blue pads. If I was sitting still in the woods somewhere I wouldn't be out there without it. It really really works.

Similar to this one.

Got several when use to bow hunt. Got 2 tabletop models used outside when cooking. Not worth anything if you’re moving through woods. For sitting in one spot they work fine. After lighting they take a while to work

I have used them in the outhouse in Canada and they seem to work great. It even seems to keep people away in that setting.

I have nothing clever to put here.
