Just happy to be here.

Eastern bluebirds here. I am at the southern end of Ontario, 15 minutes from Detroit.
Just happy to be here.

I can remember building bluebird houses when I was in Scouts. It was a lot of fun for all of us. Thanks for helping the kids!

Good design. I've made quite a few for friends and here at the house over the years. Does your plans show vent holes on the sides? Mine did. I think it really helps with the house having some ventilation to cool the inside while the second brood is coming along.

don't like the Peterson design. My problem with it is its no good for tree swallows. Tree swallows are common in the areas you find bluebirds in my area at least. I have switched over from 4 3/4 sq inside box to a 6" inside sq box to allow for more room for swallows. I see no downside to making a bigger box, the bluebirds seem to be OK with them. Half ton, there are 4 x 3/4" vent holes that I'm letting the kids layout and drill.
Just happy to be here.
