Had to go to S&W's site and read a little about it. Think this would be a fun one.

I think the same, I know they did the same with ... I think Ruger redhawks a while back , made them to shoot .30 carbine. They where pretty well received, think it was more of a thing for Western houndsmen if I remember correctly

There is nothing new in the gun world. 357 maximum is about the exact same thing and came in a revolver. It didn't last long due to gas cutting when it went out of the cylinder gaps and was a safety issue with heavy use. I would buy one.

I had a dan wesson 357 maximum revolver for awhile. Was a real deer pile er upper. 100 yard revolver. Very accurate. After a few thousand rounds it had burned a little slot in the frame right under the barrel. I think that was common. I wonder if this one will do the same thing? Hit hard enough I considered hunting elk with it but never did. After that slot started developing I traded it for an interarms 25-06. Killed a BIG white tail with it. Sold the antlers then got offered a large sum for the rifle and sold it too.

Doesn’t the 500S&W still trump it energy wise?

I was thinking about the .357 Maximum , Danny , seeing this post. Never got the chance to shoot one.
