Anybody on here ever had this after the shingles? Evidently, I've got it on my head and it is no fun so far. Just curious if anybody has any suggestions for pain relief. Thanks.

there is no OTC treatments that are proven effective. steroids, antivirals and neuromodulators can be effective, depending on when you started having symptoms and when the meds start. It sounds like yuou are at the point that something like gabapentin or similar may be helpful.

Had shingles a year and a half ago, emergency room treatment within 72 hours is important. Did this and every now and then I get a little nerve tingling on the side of my face, or inside my ear, or on my chin, but it's not really pain!

Pain during shingles was almost unbearable on the side of my face!!

Shingrix is said to be more than 90 percent effective at preventing SHINGLES when used as directed.

I highly recommend shingrix. Shingles can be devastating, especially if it gets in your eyes

I had Shingrex as well as the shingles vaccine before it. Works for me.

Unfortunately there isn't anything to help unless something was found in the last 10 years.
My dad had it and I have never seen someone suffer more than him.
The neuralgia was the cause of death.

I urge anyone that has not had the shingles vaccine to get it ASAP.
