Do any of you dog sled, in areas with little snow, where you put wheels on the sleds? It might be dog carting at that point.

My area gets so little snow, that some years, there may only be a few days to you could use an actual sled. Last Winter was like that.

I read a lot of Jack London books as a child and always enjoy watching footage of the big sled dog races. I've wanted to try it.

I met a woman who used wheeled sleds to train catahoulas for sledding.

I have the dogs and a sturdy aluminum sled, I should be able to mount wheels on.

Ran dogs for years. Always used a 4 wheeler for dry land training and conditioning. Seen many home made rigs.

Apparently, some sledders will hitch the dogs to a small car and drag that around! LOL

Thanks for the ideas. I don't have a 4 wheeler, but I bet a John Deere riding mower will work too, if it can roll fast enough.

I have 8 dogs that should pull well.
