The past two days were very beautiful. Today is a bit chilly and breezy. We had hot dogs and German bean and potato soup for lunch. For dinner I have a butterflied leg of lamb I was going to grill but decided I’ll roast in the oven instead. Was thinking maybe turnips or asparagus to go with it. What are you all grubbing on today?

Made a pan of lasagna, I have a pork shoulder in the smoker and 3 racks of baby back ribs. Seems like a lot for 2 people. laugh

A friend of mine is an executive at a major US candy company. We went to.a produce auction together yesterday. Diane and I just got to try 6 new types of candy, one of which was indeed very yummy, that will be released in the US market in the next 8 to 18 months. We are bound to secrecy on the details. I joked we will have to watch out for Slugworth, who you may remember from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Gallucious Gump was the kid who fell in the chocolate river and got sucked up and stuck in the tube. Slugworth was the man who approached the children with the offers to buy the Everlasting Gobstoppers. At the end of the movie Charlie learns that Slugworth worked for Wonka and was testing the children's moral character.
