Mulberry trees can grow from zone 9 to zone 4 in the US. They are very common in my area. Anywhere a soft billed bird poops, that doesn't get mowed, you will find mulberry trees here.

I have one tree and it's loaded most years. Problem is the birds eat them before they get ripe enough for us. As soon as they start to turn color they gobble them up

Birds eat ours too. So do deer,coon,possums,ghogs,squirrels etc but we have enough for all. 15 trees left.
