Thanks for posting. I’ve been thinking about this day for a week. I’d appreciate it if someone posted President Reagan’s 40th anniversary at Normandy speech. Thank God for all those young men. We will never forget.

Thank all of them. Without them, we may not have what we do. The horror they faced is hard to imagine.

I am very, very proud of my wife's step father, Ben Miller who is with the group of vets at Normandy. He went into Normandy in a glider made of canvas and plywood. The landing tore the wings off, but the men survived. Ben was a medic that immediately started treating injured and wounded. He never carried a gun, but helped save countless lives. He was in the midst of the battles and made it all the way to Berlin. I honor Ben and all of the rest of those veterans. I also praise Delta airlines and all of those that made this trip possible for thos vets.God Bless America.

Who would imagine? Ben Miller's story told by the President of the United States.

A must watch. Band of Brothers!![Linked Image]
One of many WWII Veterans I got to meet. Hear the stories of bravery. This Veteran Don. Is holding the picture Time Life Magazine took of him and other Marines. Drinking a cup of coffee after 2 days of fighting in the South Pacific.
18yrs old. I thank the good lord each and every day. Of our proud service men and women. The generation of WWII sacrificed so much. Asked for nothing in return. Other then to come home alive. Many lie on the beaches who didn’t make it home

My VFW Post is having a memorial for all the men that hit the beach and died, and for all the Mothers, Wives and Kids that lost their sons, husbands and fathers on that "Longest Day", and to those that lived, to begin the long walk to Berlin.

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

There were over 4,400 allied troops that died on D-Day and over 5k wounded, which is huge but we must not forget that the battle of Normandy took 69,000 additonal allied troops and another 150,000 wounded.
My uncle was in the 2nd wave and made it home. my father and other uncle were in the Pacific.
