It's all touch screen to order no person. At the drink machine you have to scan your qr code on the receipt for the machine to dispense. And they ask how much you want to tip at checkout. Heck I'm shocked I didn't have to make the milkshakes myself. I guess this is what happens when they pay $17 an hour for fast food workers they just cut out jobs to make up for it.

Sounds great, pay one person $25 a hour to clean up and make sure everything is running well instead of 5+ slackers who probably drop your food on the floor half the time.

Ours has been that way for some time now. I’ll be honest, I sorta liked it. Pay with cash or card too. Seems like a good business move as well as long as you keep your clientele.

Was in Grand Rapids last week for a state trackk meet. Left and stopped by a mcd's so the girls could grab a snack before dinner later. I walked up to the counter and they were already punching in on a screen. Which was good because no one was at the counter. Food came out quick. Maybe we don't need people. Or maybe we just need to pay more for those who work! And don/t need to pay a body to just be there.

What's going to happen to all the people, who have little value, to negative value to society? Those same people make most of the kids, who sadly, mostly are also of little to negative value too. Raising the minimum wage doesn't help those people. It just makes them of negative value.

you are absolutely correct , anyway to let the customer serve themselves to reduce staff to do only what they abolutly have to do to serve the food

look at the number of places that never opened the dining room back up after covid keeping only the drive through.

pizza hut is tearing down their old restaurants and putting in only take out only buildings.

Before Covid, most of the gas stations and grocery stores, around here, were open 24 hours. Now most close at 11:00pm or 12:00am. Marginal people make more staying home sponging off the rest of us, than they do working. Businesses can't make a profit if they have to pay low quality employees high wages. It's only to get worse. A large, ever growing percentage of the population are a drain on the rest of the population.
