Marsh started off really well, he tailed off a bit recently but I like his play and hustle and I think he inspires other players. He is a good team player. I just wish he would get a hair cut and trim his beard, lol.

Why did the Brewers starting pitcher on pitch one inning? He looked pretty good the inning he pitched. He is a reliever. They do it so their marginal starting pitcher(s) faces the top of the order one less time. Very likely he will start again tomorrow and turn the ball over to Rea. The backend of their starting rotation needs all the help they can get. The rookie Robert Gasser has an arm issue now so it will be interesting who has to step in if he needs to miss some time. It really has been a revolving door for pitchers for the crew. Not sure how they have been this competitive with this rotation.

That is good strategy, start a left hander so the opposing team loads their line up with right handed batters and then bring in a right hander for the second inning.

A real nail biter tonight. The Phillies scored late to tie and won in 10 innings.

I really thought the cubs were going to drop tonight’s game to the worst team in the American League.. Rain delays seem to be a good thing for the cubs… 5-0 Sox before the rain delay…. Cubs come back after the delay and the bats woke up

The Phillies are going to London for a couple games with the Mets this weekend, who is the home team for those games?

Get the brooms out, the Phils only had 3 hits but it was enough for a "W". Now it is off to London.

Thanks ADC, I wish I knew how to do that. The Phillies pitching stood out in that 3 game series, they only gave up a grand total of 2 runs. I must say the Brewers pitching was pretty good too, the Phillies seemed to just score enough to win. I was leery of their lineup today as Thomson had 2 batters with averages below 200 in the starting lineup and another couple not much over 200. Nola pitched a dandy game. They have 11 pitchers on their roster with an ERA under 3..

A Yankee/Phillies World Series would be nice.

Brewers are happy to be out of Philly and are taking out their frustration out on the Tigers. Scored more runs in one inning against Detroit than they did in a three game series against tithe tigers. They were overdue for a hit with runners in scoring position.
