Nice original condition and not modified.I posted a photo of Dean for reference. I assumed that was enought clarity but for those that did not get it and to help understand. Dean made 3 difference models while he owned the company. If you DO have one to sell ? PM me with price and photos.

original condition and not modified, which one? The ones Ned Manning made, or the ones Steve Titus made, or the ones Dean Wilson made?

The old Manning #9s I have were stamped with my initials and a serial #. Did Manning or Titus or both serial # the traps ? Steve Titus stamped the trappers initials and the the number of the trap he made. The first 12 traps Titus sold and were stamped, belonged to Ron Long. As far as i know, Manning never stamped traps. Manning made very few traps overall.

I have a few of the #9 knock offs that were made by the guy in North Pole, forget what's stamped on the pan but otherwise look the same.

Who changed the name of the trap from Manning to Alaska? When did that happen? I had both Manning #9s and Alaska #9s. Dean Willson changed the shortly after bought it from Steve Titus. I forget what year that was. Maybe Elder Buist, the historian knows. I had it all wrote down, think i gave it to JR.

Ken Cochran used to trap with my wife's grandfather Albert Carroll Sr. which is how I ended up with them, not sure how many were produced. I had some of the Dean Wilson ones that were given to me by Bill Straub and I had JR refurbish them except one which he traded me a new #9 for.

Look for a hand stamped pan "Alaskan No. 9". It will be arc welded, and i believe it will have a round pipe made swivel.

Thank you for that.I sure would like to see a picture of one even it's not for sale.Apparently they are pretty scarce as no one seems to have one but I am sure they are out there somewhere.Probably people have them and are not aware of it being anything special. And maybe it's not but I would like one.
