Any TC Contender fans on Tman?

My granddad shot one in 225. His was set up as a (illegal) short barreled rifle. He was a notorious deer killer with his from the window of his pickup. Clearly gun and game laws did not apply to the old man.

I got on a nostalgic kick and bought a receiver last night on Gunbroker. I will order a threaded barrel when it comes in and an aftermarket stock and foregrip. I will suppress and SBR it. Will likely go with 17 hmr barrel and maybe a 223 barrel. Same suppressor will work for both.

Just curious about everyone else. Let's see some pics.

I am bummed that they don't sell gloss scopes anymore. Not sure I will like the matte finish on whatever I put on top.

My TC Contender is a pistol I used back in the 1980's to shoot IHMSA matches. I need to take a deer with it. Maybe this fall.

got a couple.. 357 maximum 10" & 16", 358 JDJ, 222. Have killed several with the first 3.

No thanks. I still have generational trauma--as the kids call it. He made me butcher a lot of those deer.

I'm good with one or two deer a year. I work the trigger finger out on hogs and steel.

Yeah, I have been looking around this morning. Good thing is that I want no more calibers added to my reloading list.

More accurate then some of my rifles

Love my contender. Have one with a 14" 7X30 waters barrel and also have a 17 Rem Barrel. I had a 357 maximum and still to this day regret selling it.

Haus of Arms is selling a TC compatible frame. There is a waiting list. They are also a resource for parts, wood, and some barrels.

TC is on their way back from the ashes. It was announced a few weeks ago that Greg Ritz (Outdoor hunting personality) is bring TC back.

i have two frames and two 7-30 pistol barrels and a 7-30 carbine barrel and a 223 bull barrel. All kill NC deer.

Mine are Encores. Stacked the deer with a 50 cal smoke pole and 308 pistol. Sold the pistol. I like break actions and handi rifles, and picked up 2 cva's in 350 legend. Need another .35 cal suppressor but they're alls on back order.

I have a few. My go to deer caliber since 1980 is a 7-30 Waters on a TC Super 14. I have taken deer out to 250 yards though most have been within 100 yards. I always wanted a custom 7-30 barrel but as good as the factory offering shoots, I doubt I will ever spend the money on one at this point.
