My niece was over the other day and mentioned she would like me to get her out in the canoe and do some fishin. Had a place in mind that channel cats should be good but had to be there early. Clear water and once the sun comes up, the bite slows down. She was at the house at 5:30 and we were on the lake by 6.

We had a good time. The morning bite was good. She caught 5 of the 7 fish within an hour. Tried a few other areas without luck.





She wanted to learn how to clean them too.

They get darker when they're up in shallow water. Spawning right now. The sun was just comin up in the second pic.

That's a real prize, a gal that can catch and clean.

Mine just catches. I get to deal with the cleaning and cooking.
