What nice folks I've met so far! I'm at an Elderberry conference in Columbia. Went out to eat last night by myself at Jimmy's Steak House and the owner cooked my steak and then came out and sat at the table next to me to chat. Told him it was a great ribeye to which he replied "if I didn't like it he would've eaten it"! LOL

But honestly real nice down to earth folks and beautiful country. Love seeing them northern pecan groves.

One of the best two best restaurants I've eaten at was Jimmy's on the Park, in St.Louis, Missouri. It was owned by Jimmy Kristo. Sadly, that restaurant closed. Was the owner who sat by you Jimmy Kristo? He was supposed to be starting a new restaurant. He is one of the very best chefs in the world and specializes in steaks.

It might have been. He was a Greek and 'Kristo' sounds like a Greek last name. He told me he goes by Jimmy since he arrived in the US in 1967 but that his real name is Dimitrios. Also mentioned that his people were from near the shores of the Black Sea.

Best steak I've had in a long long time. $25 for a 14oz ribeye meal. No steaks under $30 in Oregon these days.

If ya like pecans BP, stop at Brunswick, Mo. It’s the pecan capital of the world! Self proclaimed I reckon, but there are thousands of acres of pecan groves around the town.

If you want to see some big pecan groves go through Nevada,Mo.head west towards Ft Scott Kansas, native, and grafted groves. Have good friend, who has 400 acre, native, and 36 acres of grafted

Always enjoyed my time in Misery, if you want to see pretty country the ozarks are the prettiest part of that state.
