Congrats! It’s a good sign if you know her family better than your own I think. Me too, my in-laws & uncles/aunts all have the same interests as me……except they’re French and I’m English….lol
I wore the band for a few months, I don’t even know where it is now. It was hooking on stuff and pinching so I took it off. Get a cheap rubber ring or a cool tattoo in your finger with the date.

Now all that's left is the SUFFERING !!!

Wore it the day of the wedding, then put it away. Know three people who lost fingers because of rings. Friend playing basketball,Mechanic and a sawmill employee. So the danger is there.

As far as the ring, wife took mine less than 5 years after we were married. Said I was too rough on it (she took it to get cleaned and it was all beat up).

Been married 31 years in Nov. She wears it on her thumb a lot

it probably took 2 weeks to get used to wearing the ring.

that said I haven't worn it in probably 14 years

we just celebrated 24 years

my grandpa didn't wear his ring after a few years it was getting too worn down at work as a mason.

my cousin who was Navy 20 years , then Tug captain another 20+ , always wore his ring on his watch band , that was the pre-silicone ring way to wear a ring where you were around machines.
of course he lost a few also.
