This is one I picked up in the late 90s. The box says 1993. I haven’t looked up the style of handles yet. But the roman numerals have me perplexed for now.

1993 is probably the year it was made

I have a Ducks Unlimited Buck 3-knife set in a presentation box I’d sell if you’re interested.

Manufactured in 1989. Curly maple, 2 blade, small coke bottle style. Stainless Steel. I was told the maple came from the flooring from a Case manufacturer?

I've seen some incredible knife collections go through auction lately. Some of the collections have many hundred to over a 1000 knives. In some of the collections, almost every knife is immaculate, in its box still.

I like older, well used knives with personality, especially cimiter or scimitar knives used for cutting meat. I have a pretty massive collection of cleavers, which go nicely with cimiters.

It's the same think with hatchets and axes for me. I want a 100 year old plus tool to show its age. Some guys will strip all the rust, put on new handles and polish them like new. I like the stories told in the wear. Old knives, worn down to a fraction of their width, by years of use, are cool.

I buy every one of those yellow folding knives that have the fish scaler/dehooker on it.
The ones with the discolored steel are the best ones for hardness.
They aren't the best knives ever made, but I have a hankering for them just the same.
I had a buddy who wanted to see it. I said sure and handed it to him. He asked me if it was sharp. I said, "sharp enough."
He barely touched the blade with his thumb and bled all over it. I asked him if he thought it was "sharp enough"? He said, "Yep."

Well, being this is about knives, does anyone know anything about this knife display case? It appears to be very well made.
