Well what job does she have or is she one of thoes lazy wife that don't do-nothing.

My wife is struggling with the fact that I am on vacation until July 6th, at which point I will be retired. She comes home from work each day and asks "what did you do today?" Now I think that is partly because she is making conversation, partly because she is curious, and partly because she doesn't like the idea that I am basically retired and she is not.
I tell her I am not going to feel bad about being retired first because 1. I am three years older and 2. I am a man so I will die sooner anyway. I figure she will have at least 8-10 years without me that she can run around with the blue-haired mafia.
The other part is I do as much or more now than before I retired.

I have seen this many times but still chuckle everytime.

You would not believe the number of laughs I get every time I say that to people. Even women think it's hilarious.

A few weeks ago my granddaughter asked me what I want to be when I grow up. The things you can't say to a granddaughter.

I must be the only man out there that asked his wife to quit when we had kids.
She did go back to work when they got in school, but when CJ came along I asked again and now she’s a stay at home momma/ganny/chef/financial wizard/referee/maid/launderer/professional shopper/etc, lol.

I remember it well. Back in 2002 we were at a gathering. My wife told me "I can make your life a living (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)". I told her "You had to wait 25 years to tell me this?"

my wife was happy to stay home for 7 years and home schooled.
when the kids were very young they spent days with my inlaws that was till the oldest was in 1st grade

it took us a while to figure out how to make the money work then she was happy to do it.
