so Belilse safety's are awesome and just plain work as they should -all others not so much , they need wired back and imho opinion could be dangerous and snog something with the hook if the trap fired unexpectedly
many of you probably already know this. but if there's any greenhorns like me that may not know , you can use a peice of #11 wire and some pliers and make a almost perfect copy of the Belilse safety and just cut the hooks off . I made a set of 1 hand setters or my ts85s because my hands are getting weak and made several safety's and didn't like any of them. until I copied the Belisle safety. works great. like fossil2 says copying is the sincerest form of flattery . hope someone finds this helpful

You can hook the normal safeties into the coil of the body grips to keep them in place and not risk em snagging either the jaws or something else. Got that one from ack. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the flat safeties in bridhers and savageaus.

I take a zip tie and put it on the sprimg arm. make it snug but not too tight.
Once you take the safety off , slide it to the coil and slide the zip tie up to it

I like using the Belilse style safety because they stay wherever you place them

Belisle safetys are no good when setting traps in boxes with narrow slots,they are hard to slide out of the way even on waxed 120s.
Freehanging safety hooks are the way to go.
