Just before lunch broke an injector line on the truck.

[Linked Image]

Nursed it to the shop.

Got home and thought I’d cut some wood. Made the cuts first turn and squaring up one corner.

[Linked Image]

Went to make the second turn and broke the big cant hook. Grabbed the smaller one and bent it to of no use.

If I was a drinking man I’d head for A/C and a cold beer.

Maybe somebody saw a wreck up ahead of you and still needed you for another job but I don't guess it was sawing lumber, lol.

I don’t know if this is a strike or not since I’m not a drinker. Was getting my wine making gear together and found a twelve year old bottle of Blackberry wine. lol

Well HT, you’re in decent enough company …yesterday I found my rear bracket had broken in two from the leaves . The only thing holding it together was the bed. I went in to get the ball joints replaced, and I found the other problem too. Both of those situations could have made a bad day worse on the road , I am very thankful my truck held together until I made it to my mechanic in town , some miles away.

I will have new brackets and ball joints , and that is a good, safe thing. And I didn’t come apart on the road .

Makes you appreciate the good days.

Those cant hooks look very wussy. They can't do the job they were made for. My cant hooks can do the job. They are very heavy. You can usually buy very good cant hooks at auction, in the same lot as a lot of other tools, for under $20.00. Great tools are so cheap at estate auctions, I don't understand why anyone would buy new, crappy ones.

Well the truck isn't getting fixed the same day, but not an expensive problem. The broken stick is mans oldest problem. Id say it's nothing to get you down for too long. I type this from my recliner as I'm being blasted by the a/c with a cold beer in my hand.
