The owners should have invested in a good shock collar to break the Deer runners off the Deer.

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

I have nothing clever to put here.

They ruin turkey hunts, bowhunts and everything else.. It is the owners fault because they don't want to control their dogs.

It was during a field trial where the dogs probably weren’t allowed to have shock collars on. Tracking collars are typically allowed in all hunting dog trials whether it be beagles or coon dogs, etc. Shock collars are beginning to be allowed in trials though. Regardless, dog hunters don’t ruin anything. Hunting with hounds is just as big of a tradition as trapping, bow hunting, or anything else and the downfall of one will be the downfall of the rest. Hunting with hounds and trapping are so tightly connected that we need to support one another in every way possible.

"Tightly connected." Not likely to ever see that day come.

Kinda surprising that there were 30+ hounds that all ran trash.
That's a lot of me too dogs to feed.

The hounds were simply working a track, the wrong track. But still a track. They will work it til the end or you catch them. That's how they're trained.

Hound hunting and trapping are tightly connected in ways. Houndsmen and trappers alike are probably the 2 most hated groups of sportsmen by the anti-hunting/trapping/bunny hugger agenda.

Years ago when I lived in central Iowa for a few years the Iowa State Coin Hunters and the IowaTrappers Association teamed up to gather signatures to get a Dove season. Gov Vilsak said he had better stuff to do than worry about a Dove season. I don't remember the exact verbage, but that was the long and short of the effort.

Sure do miss me some coon hunting.
Full knee replacements don't like walking around in the woods all night !

Who said the deer were trash? Multiple counties in MS allow deer dogging and I can see why after being done there. If I deer hunted some of those timbers, I would definitely have a pack of deer hounds.

ferry charge 50 dollars a head , if they don't want to pay you can put them back where you found them.

help pay for that fishing guide , and gas and such
1900 and cheap for a bunch of dogs wearing 600 dollar collars , that isn't even a trip to the vet for cost.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Dogs running deer or cattle seem to disappear around this county.

Some dogs will follow what the others are doing. One mutt decides to go after the deer and the rest go along with it.

Tightly connected is right !!! frown

The trapper busts his butt laying out his trap line
at considerable time & expense, just so the
"tightly connected" coon dog hunter can go behind
him under cover of darkness and steal his legally
trapped coons & legally set traps.

Without all the trapper's hard work before hand,
the coon dog hunter couldn't possibly be so successful
stealing all those coons & traps.

Tightly connected indeed !!! frown
