Some people use ground beef but I prefer ground pork. The little extra fat seems to melt the flavors and cook the peppers better? Sautéed onions, eggs, rice, salt and pepper and plenty of minced parsley and dill. I’ll put em in the slow cooker tmrw with crushed tomatoes and sour cream blended.I still need to pick up a nice baguette.
I really prefer stuffed cabbage but Hubby loves the peppers

if youd like to try something different, brown the meat first, and mix that with flavored croutons and salsa, and stuff with that. we stuff them like this and freeze them. about 3 minutes in the microwave and theyre ready to eat. add a slice of cheese and seasoning or ketchup on top when you microwave. good stuff.

That looks delicious. We use chicken or beef. My special peppers (my wife said I'm special) also have a couple of habaneros dice up in them too.

ergo, bibamus.

My Momma used to make them with a Tomato Soup gravy that really set off the flavors.

I always love to hear how innovative other trappers are when it comes to cooking! We really know how to live!

after we stuff them, sit them individually on a sheet of foil, and wrap like a hersheys kiss. stuffed peppers are great in the winter when theyre out of season. lots of flavor choices with the croutons and salsas.

I threw a brat in each front pocket when I mowed today. By the time I was finished, dinner was ready.

I have nothing clever to put here.

We use half lamb burger and half ground pork. Then use a tomato sauce she makes from scratch to put on top. They are the best stuffed peppers I have ever eaten.
